1. Services Provided

TechTec provides in-home and remote technology services, including but not limited to:

  • Wi-Fi/network setup and troubleshooting

  • Printer setup and troubleshooting

  • TV mounting and device setup

  • General home tech support

All services are performed based on the information provided at the time of booking.

2. Service Call Fee

An upfront non-refundable service call fee (typically $80) is required to secure an appointment.

This fee covers:

  • Travel time

  • Initial diagnosis

  • Basic troubleshooting

The service call fee does not cover full repairs or extended labor unless explicitly stated.

3. Pricing & Additional Charges

Final pricing may vary depending on:

  • Complexity of the issue

  • Time required to complete service

  • Additional equipment or materials needed

Customers will be informed of any additional charges before work continues.

4. Appointments & Scheduling

  • Appointments must be booked through our official scheduling system.

  • We reserve the right to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • Customers must ensure access to the service location at the scheduled time.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment may result in forfeiture of the service call fee.

  • No-shows will not be refunded.

  • Rescheduling is allowed with reasonable notice.

6. Refund Policy

  • The service call fee is non-refundable once the technician arrives or work has begun.

  • Refunds for additional charges may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • No guarantees are made for issues caused by third-party hardware, software, or service providers.

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the issue

  • Ensure a safe working environment

  • Have legal access to all devices and networks being serviced

8. Limitation of Liability

TechTec is not liable for:

  • Pre-existing issues or hidden defects

  • Data loss or corruption

  • Damage caused by faulty equipment or improper prior installations

  • Service interruptions from internet providers or third parties

Customers are responsible for backing up important data prior to service.

9. Installation & Mounting Disclaimer

For TV mounting and hardware installations:

  • We are not responsible for wall integrity issues (e.g., weak drywall, hidden damage)

  • Stud placement and wall conditions may affect installation

  • Customer assumes responsibility for structural limitations of their home

10. Warranty Disclaimer

All services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, unless otherwise stated.

11. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if:

  • The environment is unsafe

  • The request is unlawful or inappropriate

  • Customer behavior is abusive or unreasonable

12. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed.
We accept payments through approved platforms (e.g., Square).

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
